Ebbsfleet 2 Burton 1

A brace from Guiseppe Sole led Ebbsfleet to victory over Blue Square Premier leaders Burton at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday night.

Sole scored a goal in each half, with the winner coming from the penalty spot, as Fleet climbed out of the relegation places into 17th.

Fleet deservedly took the lead in the 33rd minute when Sole scored with a 25-yard free-kick.

The visitors were back on terms just after half-time when Greg Pearson headed in a Jamie Yates cross.

The decisive goal came in the 69th minute when Andrew Corbett was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box and Sole stepped up to convert the spot-kick.
