GRAVESEND supporters can expect the introduction of crowd segregation during their return to the Nationwide Conference this coming season. Club commercial director Rob Grindley has warned fans of changes in their match day routine as the club prepare to take the giant step up into Conference football.
Mr Grindley said: “The club will act on police advice and for a few home games supporters will be segregated with away fans being allocated the Swanscombe End. This will mean that all Fleet fans will be required to use the turnstiles opposite the Plough pub.”
Because the club are now members of the Conference, the Fleet must abide by the Football Licensing Act which means the bar will be open before, at half-time and after matches with all drinks being served in plastic glasses. No alcohol can be consumed in view of the playing area.
The club are looking to recruit matchday stewards and turnstile operators who will be paid £10 a game. For further details contract Mr Grindley on 01474 533796.
