Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon has praised the all-round game of striker Danny Kedwell.
The Fleet forward ended his three-month goal drought by scoring in Saturday’s 4-2 win at Wealdstone.
It was his first Ebbsfleet goal since October – a run of 14 matches including 13 starts for Kedwell.
That run hasn’t bothered McMahon, with Kedwell netting six times this season in 25 appearances.
Kedwell’s name will always be one of the first on his teamsheet.
“You know he will score goals, his career record tells you that,” said McMahon.
“He is always an asset for the team, he brings so much. He works as hard as anyone in the team and he deserved his goal.
“I’m sure if you asked Keds he would want to score more goals and I would want him too but you can’t ignore the other qualities he brings.
“He holds the ball up for midfielders to join in, he is a foil for Bradley Bubb or Darren McQueen when they play alongside him, he attacks set pieces, defends set pieces and he covers so much ground closing down defenders.
“He does a lot that people don’t notice. He always shows up. It’s easy for forwards to blame other people but he works hard for the team and deserves more goals.”
