Ebbsfleet United v Weymouth

EBBSFLEET manager Liam Daish is refusing to be distracted by Weymouth's off-field problems ahead of the FA Trophy third round tie at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

The Terras sacked manager Jason Tindall following their 3-2 defeat against Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday.

The result left Weymouth 19th in the Blue Square Premier table and just five points off the relegation zone.

Former Chelsea player John Hollins was named as Tindall's replacement on Tuesday but Daish is keen to concentrate on his own team.

He said: "I don't know if it will affect them as I don't know their players as individuals.

"What I do know is that if we put in the sort of performance that we have been putting in then I think we'll have a good chance."

Fleet secured a 4-1 win over Weymouth in the league earlier in January but Daish is still wary of the Dorset side.

He added: "We've got to be careful as they caused us a few problems when we went 1-0 up."

Defender Gary MacDonald was also expected to feature for the first time since his injury on the opening day of the season, having been an unused substitute in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Burton.
