INTRUDERS broke into Gravesend & Northfleet's Stonebridge Road ground over the weekend but failed to take the Kent Senior Cup.

Club secretary Roly Edwards said: "When we got to the ground and saw the window broken we feared the worst but fortunately the trophy is still here, although some money has gone missing."

The Ryman League Premier Division club are due to return the cup, which they won by beating Dover last May, back to the authorities this week.
