Ebbsfleet United have continued their squad rebuild by signing former Gillingham midfielder Stuart Lewis.
Lewis is the Fleet's third new signing in the space of two days, following the capture of Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell and midfielder Theo Lewis from Woking earlier this week.
The 27-year-old arrives at the PHB Stadium from Wycombe Wanderers, where he spent four years and scored eight goals in 168 appearances.
He told the club's website: "I can't wait to get started. I'm over the moon to be part of it and hope to hit the ground running.
"I've been at Wycombe for four years but it's a fresh challenge for me and when I heard of the owner's plans here and talked to the manager, I just jumped at the chance to be part of something that's moving forward in the way this is."
Lewis served as club captain during his time at Adams Park and signed a new deal in the summer - but has started just two games this season for the League 2 leaders.
Having started his senior career with Barnet in 2007, Lewis spent a season with Stevenage and then followed manager Mark Stimson to Gills in 2008. He helped them win promotion via the League 2 play-offs at the end of that season and stayed at Priestfield until the summer of 2010.
Lewis played for newly-promoted Dagenham & Redbridge and was loaned out to Wycombe before making that move permanent in January 2011.
Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth said: "Stu has been a superb servant to this club over the past four years and we fully respect his wishes to be playing regular first-team football at this stage of his career.
"When the opportunity arose to move to Ebbsfleet, Stu wished to pursue it and after careful consideration, we felt it was best for all parties and wish him every success with his new club."
