Ebbsfleet will climb into the Skrill South play-offs for the first time this season if they win at Tonbridge on Saturday.

After a slow start – when they won only one of their first nine games – the Fleet have now won four of their last five matches.

And victory at Longmead would lift them into the top five, a point which hasn’t been lost on manager Steve Brown.

He said: "Of course it's significant.

"When only one team goes up automatically and you’ve got four in the play-offs, your eye is always on the top five positions.

"Our ambition from day one has always been to get as close to the top of this league as we can. It’s better to have the points on the board than to be chasing every week.

"When you pick up a paper and you’re in the top-five, that’s good to look at.

"If you’re not in the top five, your ambition should be to get in there."

Brown's only injury concern going into the game is Preston Edwards. The knee problem which forced him off at half-time in Saturday's 4-0 win over Concord Rangers has been causing the goalkeeper discomfort when kicking.

If Edwards does miss the game, Brandon Hall will make his full league debut.

Full-back Joe Howe is fit again after missing three games with a groin injury.
