Stacy Long has returned to Ebbsfleet United.
The midfielder was part of the Fleet side which won the FA Trophy at Wembley in 2008.
Long turned down offers from Football League clubs to return to Stonebridge Road, where he becomes Steve Brown's seventh signing as Ebbsfleet manager.
The 28-year-old said: "I am delighted to be coming back to Stonebridge Road. I had a great experience here last time – obviously winning the Trophy at Wembley was the highlight for me – but overall it was a fantastic time and I hope to do the same under Steve Brown and achieve great things again."
Brown added: "I would like to thank Stacy for taking such a significant drop in wages to fit into our wage cap structure and rejecting better offers from League clubs to return to Ebbsfleet United. He has bought into the vision and ambition I have for this club and I am delighted to have him on board."
Having come through Charlton's youth set-up, Long spent a season at Notts County before Liam Daish brought him to Gravesend & Northfleet in 2006.
He played 135 times for the Fleet and moved on to Stevenage in 2009. Long was part of the Boro side which achieved back-to-back promotions, climbing from Conference Premier into League 1.
Released by Stevenage in June 2012, he made 32 appearances for AFC Wimbledon last season before manager Neal Ardley let him go last month.
