GRAVESEND & Northfleet boss Liam Daish has completed the signing of former Charlton defender Mark Ricketts ahead of their Nationwide Conference opener at Aldershot on Saturday.

Sidcup-born Ricketts was released by the Addicks at the end of last season and also spent time on loan at MK Dons.

Daish said: "Mark can play at right-back or centre-back so he is exactly the type of versatile defender I have been looking for to complete my squad going into the new season."

Ricketts joins former Charlton players Charlie MacDonald, Stacy Long and Mark DeBolla in Daish's squad at Stonebridge Road.
