Flying winger Myles Weston has vowed to keep his feet on the ground in a bid to produce consistent quality for Ebbsfleet.
The 29-year-old has been in great form lately, scoring three goals in as many games and creating a host of chances.
Signed in the summer to be “a main player” for manager Daryl McMahon, Weston took a while to get up to speed but is now going through the gears.
He said: “I’m just trying to be consistent and play well every game to help the team win.
“I feel like I’m in good form at the moment but I’m not getting too high on my horse. I’m just trying to keep my feet on the ground and continue to do it.
“As wingers, sometimes you flow in and out of games, you have good games and bad games but I’m trying to be consistent. Every game I go into now, I just think to myself ‘let me do the best I can for the team’ whether that’s score, assist or defend, whatever it is.”
Weston has already made more league appearances this season (20) than he did in the whole of the last campaign for Wycombe.
He said: “That definitely helps because it’s about momentum. Playing all the time helps you get into a rhythm.
“At previous teams I’ve been in and out, started and come off the bench but at the moment, I’m playing all the time so I’m enjoying it and while the gaffer is picking me, I’m going to do my best.
“I’m still getting used to the National League. It’s not that much different to League 2 and I feel I’m on good form so I hope that continues.”
