A main road has reopened following a crash.
Drivers were stuck in standstill traffic along the coastbound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way, in Herne Bay, following the accident.
One motorist said there had been a “big crash” and several emergency service vehicles were at the scene.
Speaking earlier, another witness added: “There is one car in the middle of the road, and another on the side, several cars who passed have parked up and the services are only just managing to get there.
“Traffic is getting through but there is only one lane. There is a lot of grass on the road surface.
“I imagine they will have to close it soon to clear the wrecked cars away. The car in the fast lane is missing a wheel.”
It is understood the crash happened shortly after the Eddington junction and traffic was queuing from Canterbury Road to Margate Road.
The carriageway was partially blocked, however, all lanes have since reopened and delays are easing.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene on the coastbound A299 Thanet Way near Herne Bay.
“No serious injuries were reported.
“The road was clear by around 8pm.”
A spokesperson for the ambulance service added: “Crews assessed and treated three patients at the scene before conveying one patient to William Harvey Hospital.
“The remaining two patients were discharged from our care at the scene.”
