The air ambulance was forced to land on Herne Bay beach after a man fell at a care home on the seafront.

Emergency services rushed to St Peter's Convent care home yesterday afternoon following the incident just before 5pm.

The man - who suffered injuries to his head, arm, leg and ankle - was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
