Man injured in Richmond Street Herne Bay and air ambulance lands in Memorial Park

Police have made an arrest, and the air ambulance was sent, after a man was attacked.

An investigation into the assault in Herne Bay has seen a man taken into custody.

Officers were called to Richmond Street just before 5.30pm, following a report of an assault.

A man was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not assessed as life threatening.

The Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) landed in the town's Memorial Park.

Officers have arrested a man in connection with the assault.
