Herne Bay man arrested after Saxon Shore 'knife threat'

A 23-year-old has been arrested after a number of pub-goers were allegedly threatened by a man with a knife.

Police were called to the incident at the Saxon Shore in Central Parade, Herne Bay, just after 11.30pm last night.

It was reported a man had threatened several people and was seen with the weapon before leaving the Wetherspoon pub.

The incident is alleged to have happened at the Saxon Shore in Herne Bay

No injuries were reported.

A 23-year-old man from Herne Bay was later arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing a blade.

He remains in custody as inquiries continue.
