Woman injured and man arrested after fight erupts at Herne Bay railway station

A woman has been taken to hospital after a brawl between a group of passengers at a railway station.

Police and paramedics were called to Herne Bay station following reports a fight had erupted.

The incident happened at Herne Bay railway station

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH, robbery and violent disorder.

He was taken into police custody and has since been released under investigation.

A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries.

An investigation into the incident, which happened shortly before 9pm on Saturday, is ongoing.

Police say it is not currently clear how many people were involved.
