A beauty spot is being used by people having sex in public.

A website for dogging – the practice of having sex in public, especially for the gratification of others – lists the footbridge at Greenhill and the car park at Thornden Woods as prime locations.

City councillor Ian Thomas, whose ward includes Thornden Woods, said: “It seems to be a very strange thing to do and I can’t empathise with those that do it.”

Kent Police spokesman Jane Walker said: “We have not had any complaints about people having sex in these specific locations.”
