AN 11-year-old boy is in a stable condition in hospital after he was in collision with a car in the county over the weekend.

The incident happened on the Thanet Way at Herne Bay just after 11am on Saturday morning.

The boy suffered a leg injury and was airlifted to Margate's QEQM Hospital. Police said on Monday that he was in a stable condition.

As a result of the collision, which took place between the Greenhill and Chestfield roundabouts, police closed the road for more than two hours.
