A 24-year-old suspected burglar is due to appear before magistrates after being arrested over the weekend.

Thomas Munday, of Quarry Road in Maidstone, was apprehended yesterday for allegedly attempting to steal from a house in Western Esplanade, Herne Bay.

The incident is reported to have taken place on either April 1 or April 2.

He will appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
