Police taped off a private address in Herne Bay tonight after helping to escort a casualty to the air ambulance in a nearby park.
At least four police cars were at the scene of the Memorial Park off Dering Road at around 6pm after a man was found injured and in need of medical assistance about 500 yards away.
The extent of his injuries and the nature in which he sustained them is unknown.
Police helped medics stretcher the casualty about 500 yards from outside the private property at St Mary's Court where officers were standing guard this evening.
From there the man was taken to the park where the air ambulance was waiting.
He had been treated by medics in Station Road moments earlier.
The incident follows a two-car collision in nearby Canterbury Road at the junction with Spenser Road about two hours earlier, in which a woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car.
Firefighters arrived at the scene just after 4pm and spent just under an hour removing the roof of the car to reach the woman who was trapped by her injuries.
The 35-year-old female casualty was taken to hospital just before 5pm with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
It is not known if the two incidents are linked.
More as we get it.
