A MAN suffered head injuries when his car overturns and caught fire after crashing on a Thanet Way slip road last night.

The 32-year-old was taken to the QEQM Hospital after the incident on the A299 at the Margate Road and Blacksole Bridge junction in Herne Bay.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 10pm. The driver was kept in hospital overnight.

The road was closed but reopened just after 1am.
