A cyclist has been taken to hospital after hitting the central barrier on the Thanet Way.

Police were called at 5.25pm following the crash which happened on the coast-bound carriageway, close to the Chestfield Tunnel.

The cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance but his injuries are not believed to be serious.

No other vehicles were involved.
