An electrical fault sparked a hay baler to set alight.

Two fire engines arrived on farmland off Ridgeway Road, Herne Bay to extinguish the blaze yesterday afternoon.

Crews emptied the baler and drag rakes were used to pull apart the hay to ensure the fire was out.

No injuries were reported from the blaze, with the call-out lasting 20 minutes.
