A great-grandmother with terminal cancer came outside to clap for frontline workers last night.
Margaret Smith, 72, from Herne Bay, had only returned home from hospital a few days ago - but still went outside to show her support to the medics who looked after her.
Her daughter, Mandie Smith, posted the video on a community group which has been met with an outpouring of support from social media users.
"She was diagnosed with cancer two years ago," the 47-year-old told KentOnline.
"It started with a back ache and the doctors found out her right kidney was completely covered. They removed that and it spread to her liver, spine, bones and blood.
"She has been in hospital twice over the past few weeks."
Mandie - along with her husband, six-year-old daughter and her dad David - have been cooped up in Margaret's home in Fernlea Avenue since the lockdown started.
"They have been so good to her at the hospital so she wanted to show support," she added.
"We have family who work for the NHS too."
