Herne Bay man Trevor Jenkins charged with causing death of Jacqueline Welsh in Essex

A 54-year-old man has been charged with causing the death of a woman by dangerous driving.

Lorry driver Trevor Jenkins, of Bogshole Lane, Herne Bay, is alleged to have crashed his HGV into a stationary car.

Jacqueline Welsh, 60 – who was a front seat passenger in the Toyota Corolla – died at the scene on the A1089 Dock Approach Road in Orsett, Essex.

Jenkins is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on April 6.
