A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 30s was found dead in her home in Herne Bay.

Police were called by ambulance crews to an address in Station Road just before 4am last Saturday.

Following further inquiries and the discovery of new evidence, officers are now treating the 38-year-old's death as suspicious and have arrested a 41-year-old from the town on suspicion of murder.

He was arrested yesterday (Saturday) morning.

He has been released on bail until July 14 while officers make further inquiries.

The investigation continues.
