Mark Billingy, from Herne Bay, charged after threatening shop worker and stealing alcohol

A man accused of threatening a shop worker and swiping alcohol has been charged with robbery.
Mark Billingy, 47, is said to have targeted the premises in Herne Bay on August 21 (Monday) as part of a crime spree.
Billingy, of St George’s Terrace, has now been charged with multiple offences; one count of robbery, one count of possession of a knife and four counts of shoplifting, police said.
The robbery charge relates to an incident where threats were reportedly made to a worker at a shop in the town and alcohol was stolen.
The knife charge and two of the shoplifting offences are alleged to have taken place on the same day, with two further shoplifting incidents on Sunday 20 August.
Mr Billingy, 47, of St George's Terrace, Herne Bay, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 23 August and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 25 September.
