It was reported that the man followed two women into the toilets on separate occasions, before leaving in the direction of the high street.

Officers attended and shortly afterwards arrested a man nearby.

Later the same day, Michael Goodwin, 67, of High View Avenue, Herne Bay, was charged with three offences in connection with the reports that were in breach of a sexual harm prevention order.

He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.
