A man was cut free from a car after a crash in Herne Bay.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to Sweechbridge Road just before 9pm last night.

They arrived to find the driver trapped by his injuries.

Working with paramedics, firefighters assessed him before using hydraulic cutting gear to release him.

He was then cared for by ambulance teams.

Crews left the scene at about 9.20pm.
