Man attacked in Herne Bay High Street with metal bar

A man was left needing hospital treatment after being assaulted with a metal bar in an attack in Herne Bay.

Police were called to the scene in the High Street at about 1.45am on Saturday.

It is believed that between 1.15am and 1.45am, the victim, who is in his 20s, argued with two men in a silver car.

He was then attacked with an object, believed to be a metal bar or crowbar.

He suffered a head injury was taken to hospital.

The suspects are described as white and in their early 20s.

Officers have asked anyone with information about the incident to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/6847/18, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
