Cafuffles which may reopen as a tea room

A cafe in Herne Bay which closed suddenly is likely to reopen as a tea shop.

Paul Wrighton, landlord of the former Cafuffles building in Mortimer Street, said he had been inundated with offers to take over the property.

“I can’t believe how many people want to take it on,” he said. “We’ve had a couple come forward and with what seems like a good idea and we are just thrashing out the details with them now.”

He added that the premises were likely to reopen as a traditional tea shop within the next four weeks.

Cafuffles was run by Steve Jones and closed suddenly last week.
