Police called to reported disturbance in Thornden Wood Road in Herne Bay

A helicopter was spotted hovering over a town following a report of a disturbance.

According to witnesses, armed officers are at the scene in Thornden Wood Road in Herne Bay.

Inquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called to Thornden Wood Road, Herne Bay at 12.48pm today following a report of a disturbance.

"Officers are on the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
