Queues are stretching back towards Herne Bay after two vans crashed on the Thanet Way this morning.

The Thanet Way was earlier closed coastbound as workers recovered wreckage after the accident. Now just one lane is shut.

Police were called just after 7am following the collision on the coastbound stretch near St Nicholas-at-Wade.

One of the vans appears burnt-out and officers have closed one lane.
