Police searching for a teenager who went missing have tonight confirmed that she has been found.

Kent Police had appealed for information into the whereabouts of Jade Knight, who hadn't been seen since Sunday afternoon.

The 15-year-old, from Herne Bay, was last seen in the St Peter's Road area of Margate at about 3pm.

Police, who considered her vulnerable, had grown increasingly concerned for her welfare before reporting that she had been found safe at around 9.20pm.

At the time of her disappearance, Jade was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a grey top with the number 78 printed in large yellow letters. She was also carrying a pink flowery handbag.
