A man is in a serious condition in hospital after reportedly being stabbed in Herne Bay.

It comes after police were called to a disturbance in Barnes Way at 2.50pm.

The victim, in his 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to a London hospital.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and a man in his 20s was treated by ambulance staff at the scene for an injury consistent with a stab wound.

“He has been airlifted to a London hospital and is believed to be in a serious condition.

“Enquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing and officers remain at the scene.”
