The opening date for a steakhouse set to replace a popular chain restaurant has been revealed.
It was reported at the end of last month that the Talmead Harvester, just off the Thanet Way in Herne Bay, will close on September 29.
The large Mitchells & Butlers-owned eatery serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, offering a range of pub food including barbecue dishes, rotisserie chicken, and a salad bar.
However, it has been confirmed the restaurant will reopen as a Miller & Carter steakhouse on November 29* after the premises is refurbished.
The chain, also owned by Mitchell & Butlers, specialises in serving up 30-day aged beef.
Its menus vary by restaurant, but focus on steak - including ribeye, fillet, sirloin and chateaubriand - as well as burgers, salads, and fish dishes.
Once the Herne Bay branch has shut, the only Harvester left in east Kent will be The Bybrook Barn in Kennington, near Ashford.
The new Miller & Carter is looking to recruit 40 people to work in its kitchen, front of house and bar.
Luke Brooks, from Miller & Carter, said: "We’re keen to recruit people who share our love for excellent quality - both food and service - and we’re looking to attract applicants with enthusiasm to join the team and become official steak geeks.
"We want team members to deliver a fantastic experience for every guest that walks through our doors, as we gear up to our opening in a month’s time.”
To apply for a role at the new restaurant, contact general manager Nori Hyland on 07534 450691 or by clicking here.
*The original date has been pushed back from November 8.
