Thieves got away with thousands of pounds worth of hairdressing equipment after breaking into a salon in Herne Bay.
Police were called to Salon 123 in the High Street on Sunday after the glass front door was cut open.
About £2,000 worth of products were taken during the incident, including straighteners.
A charity box used to collect cash for the town's Christmas lights was also swiped, which had about £200 inside it.
"It is just not nice to target a small business..." - Sally Moore
Owner Sally Moore says the incident happened sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
"They made a hole in the glass on the front door and climbed through it," she said.
"It is annoying because they have taken from the people of Herne Bay who have put their money towards the Christmas lights.
"I have spoken to customers about it and they say it is just not nice to target a small business."
A police spokesman said officers are liaising with salon owners and inquiries are ongoing.
