A2990 Old Thanet Way blocked after three-car crash

A main road was blocked in both directions after a three-car crash near a branch of Lidl.

Police were called to the incident between Chestfield and Herne Bay along the Old Thanet Way just after 1.40pm today.

Both lanes along the A-road were closed as emergency services waited for the lanes to be cleared.

A police spokesman said: "The incident caused the road to become blocked and recovery for the involved vehicles was arranged.

"No serious injuries have been reported."

The road has since reopened.
