Sunworshipers on a Kent beach decided to make the most of every moment of the blistering temperatures.

Even the Sisters of Mercy from Gravesend popped down to the beach to enjoy the sun and its people!

The average temperature reached on Monday 27C.

It was not as warm as Sunday - which was the hottest day of the year so far in the south east. But it was enought to get people out on the beach enjoying the weather and even the warm sea!

KentOnline's Sam Payne paid a visit down to Herne Bay beach and found the majority of people would not go abroad if the weather continues like this.

According to the Met Office temperatures should only fall slightly to their mid-20s for the rest of the week. So enough to dispel fears that rain is on its way.
