A woman was cut free from a car following a collision in Canterbury Road, Herne Bay this afternoon.

The casualty was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries following the two-vehicle accident at the junction with Spenser Road at around 4pm.

South East Coast Ambulance attended along with firefighters who used cutting equipment to rescue the trapped woman.

The road was closed.
