Herne Bay attack in the High Street leaves woman with head injuries

A woman has suffered head injuries in an alleged early-morning attack in Herne Bay.

The victim was taken to hospital following the reported assault near the fire station shortly before 3.30am.

A police cordon and three patrol cars remained at the scene until 8am.

The alleged attack happened in Herne Bay's High Street

Two women from Herne Bay, aged 26 and 30, have been arrested and remain in police custody.

The injured woman's condition is not said to be life-threatening.
