A woman has been treated for shock and smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a bedroom.

Fire crews were called to a house in Selsea Avenue, Herne Bay, just after 9am this morning.

A high-pressure hose reel jet was used to put out the blaze, the cause of which is not known.

Crews had left the scene by 10.21am.
