A Covid-19 survivor who almost died has given birth to a baby boy.
Beauty therapist Karen Mannering was hospitalised for more than a fortnight in March when she was seven months pregnant with her fourth child.
She was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and had almost given up hope on her fight against the virus.
But the Herne Bay resident and her unborn son pulled through and doctors gave the all-clear to return home.
A steady two-and-a-half months have since followed, before the baby was delivered via caesarean on Friday.
In a Facebook post, Mrs Mannering said: "I got to meet my little fighter - Tyson Lee Mannering.
"We have been to hell and back and I am just so happy and grateful my little man is now where he belongs, safely in my arms.
"Our family is now complete."
Tyson weighed in at 8lb 1oz.
In March, Mrs Mannering developed a fever and had "sore eyeballs" when the virus began to take hold.
Her coughs felt as though her "brain would pop" and her breathing became very painful.
Speaking to KentOnline in April, she said: "I'm so thankful to be alive. I really didn't think I'd be seeing my kids playing happily ever again.
"Their lives could have been changed forever but we managed to pull through."
