A teenage boy has been airlifted to a London hospital in a serious condition after he was hit by a car.
Police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene of the collision on the A2990 Old Thanet Way in Herne Bay, near the road's junction with Wye Green.
Officers closed the road at about 7.20pm yesterday, while paramedics assessed and treated the boy.
An air ambulance landed in nearby Herne Bay Memorial Park.
Ambulance service spokesman Rich Airey said: "The male pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to Kings College Hospital in a potentially serious condition."
The road re-opened by around 9.10pm.
