The wreckage of a car which flipped into bushes is attracting the attention of worried bypassers this morning.
Concerned motorists have been pulling up beside the damaged silver Ford Fiesta, which is on its side in Mickleburgh Hill, Herne Bay, at the junction with King Edward Avenue.
One of its headlights remains on, giving the impression the crash has just happened.
But police say they were called to reports of the accident shortly before 5.30am.
A nurse on an early-morning run told KentOnine she passed the wreckage of the 16-year-old car at about 6.30am.
"If it wasn't for the headlight I probably wouldn't have seen it at all as it was still dark," she said.
"I went straight over, thinking someone was inside, but there was no sign of anyone.
"I was just about to call the police when someone said it had already been reported."
A spokesman for the force says the driver of the car was unhurt and no offences had been committed.
Arrangements to recover the car are being made by the owner, he added.
