An incredible video has been captured of a huge RAF transport aircraft flying “200ft” over a Kent town.
The massive Airbus A400M was spotted in the sky over Herne Bay earlier today.
Known as the Atlas, it can reach altitudes up to 40,000ft.
But when it was flying over the Kent town this afternoon, one resident said it was flying at just 200ft when it passed over the county.
Paul Surgison said: “I have a shop in front of the pier and it was a very quiet day.
“I was walking to go and meet my partner when I noticed something incredibly low flying over.
“By the time I got my phone out of my pocket, this was all I was able to capture.”
Mr Surgison told KentOnline he looked up the details on the RAF flight tracker and it stated the A400M was flying just 200ft over the town.
It can fly at incredibly low levels while accommodating as many as 116 fully-equipped troops.
It is also able to carry vehicles, aircraft pallets and helicopters, including a Chinook, up to a payload of 37 tonnes.
As well as being used by the RAF, it is also used by the German Air Force, French Air and Space Force and the Spanish Air and Space Force.
