A house was struck by lightning in Herne Bay as a thunderstorm swept across east Kent.
Fire crews raced to Viscount Square off Talmead Road just after 12pm.
They used a thermal imaging camera to damp down a small amount of smouldering in the loft.
Crews left the scene just before 1pm.
