An Indian takeaway in Kent has been named England’s best at the Nation's Curry Awards.

Masala Bay in Herne Bay scooped the top prize at the awards ceremony last night.

The popular curry house is no stranger to plaudits having won best takeaway in the south east at the British Curry Awards in 2021 and 2022.

Masala Bay was the only Kent eatery to be honoured at the gala held at the Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.

The High Street business has an impressive four-and-a-half stars on Tripadvisor, with one recent reviewer saying: “You won’t find a better Indian takeaway than this place.”
