A main route into Herne Bay will be shut for a whole weekend next month.

Highways officials will close the A291 Canterbury Road in Herne on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3.

Contractors will be installing broadband cables and may need to shut the stretch again over the following weekend if the work is not complete.

It will be shut between the junctions of School Lane and Albion Lane in Herne.
