A major road was closed this morning following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The accident happened on the Old Thanet Way at Chestfield just before 7am.
It involved a Yahama YZF motorcycle and a blue Citroen Saxo, which collided near Johnsons Garden Buildings.
Police shut the busy stretch in both directions between Chestfield and Swalecliffe and the Greenhill Road roundabout for two hours.
The air ambulance was also called to treat the motorcyclist, who suffered broken bones and lung injuries.
Police spokesman Steve Knight said: "Kent Police was called at 6.56am following a collision involving a Yamaha YZF motorcycle and a blue Citroen Saxo on the Thanet Way at Chestfield.
"One man has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw, broken arm and injuries to his lungs that are not thought to be life-threatening."
The road re-opened just after 9am.
