A 20-year-old man is in a serious condition in a London hospital after suffering severe head injuries in a late-night attack.
Two arrests have been made in connection with the reported assault, which took place in Herne Bay High Street at about 10.30pm on Saturday.
When officers arrived at the scene they found the man nearby seriously hurt.
Two men, aged 53 and 28, from Herne Bay were detained the following day. They have since been released under investigation.
This happened just one day after a man, who is in his 20s, was stabbed in Station Chine.
A 51-year-old and two boys, aged 16 and 17, have been released on bail until Friday, April 26.
In the early hours of Sunday, March 24, a gang of yobs launched an unprovoked attack on a 42-year-old funeral director on his way home from a work charity night in the town.
